Please consider
contacting Natalie before your purchase your Koolie, it is well worth
discussing the requirements and best conditions for a Koolie, before he
arrives. Any information you pick up to prepare is well worth a
phone call. Some situations are not suitable and it is the aim of the
Koolie Club of Australia to assist newcomers to the breed to be in the
best position to have a happy long relationship that might last 16 years
or more.
Another consideration is a Koolie from Koolie Rescue, there are many wonderful dogs who end up in rescue through no fault of their own. Koolies do move home very well and generally if you are willing to love them they will love you unconditionally. If you are not keen to do the puppy raising period this may be worth considering.
Natalie Winters
I have been involved in the canine performance world for over 20 years and am currently owned by 5 dogs (one of which is a Koolie), 2 ponies, 1 husband and 2 children. Although relatively new to Koolies I have had the joy of owning and training working dogs throughout those 20 years and love the fun loving nature of the Koolie. With years of experience competing and instructing in Agility and Obedience as well as currently working in the canine industry I can help in locating the right Koolie for your situation and help you become a Koolie addict like so many other people.
