Danny Ruben

Danny first came across koolies 25 years ago when one of his friends got his pup.  Later when the opportunity arose Danny and his wife Cherie purchased two koolie puppies, Heidi and Otto now thirteen years old and going strong, who are very valued family members.  Although now a good daily walk is their activity while younger they were very active and undertook basic obedience instruction.

Danny is currently Project Management Office, Project Advisor at a large corporate retail company.

Cherie was an inaugural committee member and was the club's first secretary taking us through the initial setting up procedure.  She has extensive experience in administration and currently works for a large company.

Danny is also an inaugural committee member, treasurer publics officer and member of the IT sub-committee.  His contribution to the setting up of the club has always been greatly appreciated particularly by his fellow committee members.  His work on incorporation of the club, organization of the constitution and rules and his interaction with Consumer Affairs and our bankers have been invaluable.  Each Annual Meeting he professionally reports the financial standing of the club and forwards all relevant reports onto Consumer Affairs. At each General Meeting he reports on the clubs finances and is very open to discussion of, or explanation of his reports.

Danny also kindly donated the space, designed and created the club's first webpage which has evolved into our current site.

He is always actively involved in any activities we have at meetings and can always be seen snapping photos or engaging some other gadget that he is famous for.

Lastly but by no means least, is his prowess with the barbeque, which is greatly appreciated by all at every meeting.
